Jerry and Helen Marie Varner are proudly celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Mid America Stockyards in Bristow, Oklahoma. Mid America is a fourth generation owned and operated livestock auction featuring a cattle sale every Saturday as well as biweekly horse sales. Mid America averages 1100 cattle weekly with buyers from 5 to 7 states being represented. On any given Saturday you can find as many as 20 family members manning different positions during te cattle sale as well as operating the café and farm center, with the youngest members cleaning tables and learning to meet customers.
